Services for Harry L. Strong, 90, rural Baldwin, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home in Baldwin. Burial will follow at Worden Cemetery, Worden.
Mr. Strong died Saturday, March 29, 1997, at his home.
He was born March 31, 1906, in Douglas County, the son of Marion and Flora Isabelle Ruesch Strong. He attended Eudora and other rural schools.
On Nov. 9, 1927, he married Helen E. Pippert in Baldwin. She survives of the home.
He was a farmer and dairyman. He and his wife lived in Lake View after their marriage. They later moved to Eudora, where they lived for eight years before they relocated to their farm in rural Baldwin in 1938.
He was a member of Worden United Methodist Church, where he served as a Sunday school teacher for several years. He was a clerk for the Excelsior school board.
Other survivors include a son, Marvin, Baldwin; a daughter, Wanda Fuhrman, Cummings; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the service hour Tuesday.
The family suggests memorials to Worden United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 64, Baldwin 66006.
