Alice M Adams Sheboygan Press September 29, 1964

Miss Alice M. Adams, 80, of 1106 Bell Ave., former Sheboygan County register of deeds, died Monday at St. Nicholas Hospital. She had been in failing health for the past six months. Miss Adams was connected with the register of deeds office for 37 years, serving initially as a deputy to the late Edwin Koellmer. She was elected register of deeds in 1932, a position she held until Jan. 3, 1947, when she retired. Born in Mason city, Iowa, on Sept, 6, 1884, she was a daughter of the late Owen and Elvira Adams, and moved to the Greenbush area with her mother at the age of 10. She moved to Sheboygan in 1909. Miss Adams was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist, Rebekah Lodge, and Pythian Sisters. Surviving is one sister, Mrs. Ida Ubbelohde of Sheboygan, six nephews and two nieces.
The Christian Science services will be read by Roy Rankin. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery near Glenbeulah.
