Ella Jewell Pitts, 82, wife of the late William Columbus Pitts entered into rest Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at Doctors Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 4, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Dr. Michael Davenport officiating.

Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mrs. Pitts, the daughter of the late Curtis Angus and Annie Lee Jackson Beard, was born in Clearwater, South Carolina. She was a member of the Wheeler Heights Baptist Church and retired from Riverside Mills as a Machine Operator. She was a loving and wonderful mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her sons, Wayne C. Pitts, of Augusta, Phillip (Buddy) Pitts, and Herschel J. Pitts, both of Grovetown, Neal Pitts, of Dearing, and Tim Pitts, of Augusta; eleven grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Lucy Ellis, Eric Ellis, Greg Pitts, Jason Pitts, Bill Pitts and Stephanie Pitts.
