He married Sarah Riddle Pyle on 13 January 1824, in Salt Creek Township, Monroe, Indiana. They were the parents of at least 9 sons and 7 daughters. He lived in Salt Lake, Utah in 1850 and Union, Salt Lake, Utah in 1860. He registered for military service in 1867. He died on 24 December 1893, in Fairview, Sanpete, Utah, at the age of 90, and was buried in Fairview Pioneer Cemetery, Fairview, Sanpete, Utah.
