Mr. Henry Blume was born September 21, 1859 in Auhagan, Germany, came to the United States with his parents at the age of 9 yrs. and made their home in Wheeling Township.
May 26, 1887 he was united in marriage to Miss Caroline Wehrhahn by Rev. Roeder at the St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran church at Arlington Heights; after marriage this couple made their home on their farm about 2 miles east of Arlington Heights until 1924 when they decided to come to Arlington, where Mrs. Blume passed away in 1938.
Mr. Blume passed away Thursday evening, November 12 at the home of his sister and brother in law, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kaup of 212 South Dunton Ave., Arlington Heights, at the age of 83 years.
He leaves to mourn his departure 8 children, 3 daughters and 5 sons.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 at Karstens Funeral Home, Arlington Heights, and at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Peter Evangelical church at Arlington Heights. Interment was in the St. Peters Lutheran cemetery.
