Hugh Edward "Tommy" Bosserman, 78, widower of Freda Mae (Bunch) Bosserman died Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at his residence.
He was born September 21, 1932 in Augusta County, a son of the late Almer Stevenson and Elizabeth (Scott) Bosserman.
Prior to retirement, Mr. Bosserman was employed by ConAgra as a driver with 34 years of service.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Walter S., James H., Warren F., and Dorwood Bosserman; and a sister, Sarah E. Lawrence.
Family members include four sons and daughters-in-law, Don E. and Sharon Bosserman of Staunton, Charles H. "Buck" and Robin Bosserman, David S. "Woody" and Suzanne Bosserman of Waynesboro, and James T. "Crickett" and Ann Bosserman of Rainsville, AL; three brothers, Forest A. Bosserman of Greenville, Carl A. Bosserman of Staunton, Paul Bosserman of Waynesboro: two brothers-in-law, Phillip and Fred Bunch; six grandchildren, Jason Bosserman and wife, Ann, Christopher Bosserman and wife, Angela, David S. Bosserman, II, Eric Bosserman and wife, Katy, Jayme Bosserman, and Annbella Bosserman; eight great grandchildren, Ellie, Wyatt, Evy, Conner, James, Colton, Evan, and Jacob Bosserman; and special friends, Scott, Mary Jane, and Buddy.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 5, 2011, at First Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Dr. Richard S. Dietrich. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be his grandsons, Jason, Chris, David, and Eric Bosserman, and Gene Showker II and Scott Engleman.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Teamster Local 29.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2011 in the Henry Funeral Home.
