the son of Col. James Dawson
Wade and Sarah Bowie Wade.
In 8882 he was admitted to the
bar in Quitman and in 1888 he
was elected Clerk of the Brooks
County Supreme Court, serving
in that position for twelve
years, after which he resumed
the practice of law.
Mr. Wade married Mary Eloise
Jones, daughter of James Young
Jones and Margaret Holzendorf
Jones. They had ten daughters.
James Dawson Wade died on
February 4th, 1917.
