Loren D Marks Jr was the son of Loren D Marks 1839 and Lydia A Gillett.

He lived in Roseboom with his parents, and married Neva J Butler in November of 1897. The couple continued to live in Roseboom. They had two children, Mildred H 1898 and Dorothy 1906.

Neva died in an automobile accident in 1927. Loren remarried Alice Bosserman who had two daughters from a previous marriage.

Loren and Neva are buried together in the South Valley Cemetery.
