Carries Fainting Wife from Auto; Dies from Burst Blood Vessel. Special to The News. Cameron, Texas, Aug. 14. Shortly after carrying his wife, who had fainted, Pope Sapp, 39, died from a burst blood vessel at his home Saturday night. He and his wife were riding when she fainted in the car. Sapp was a dealer in used cars. Surviving are his wife; a son, Clayton; his parents, Dr. and Mrs. M. C. Sapp, and a sister, Miss Imogene, of this city. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. E. S. Hutcherson of Trinity Street Baptist Church, Houston, and the Rev. B. B. Blalock of Temple at the family residence Sunday afternoon. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
