Isabel Louise Willis passed away May 30, 2007 in Houston, Texas at the age of 97. Isabel was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Searcy Frank Willis, and daughter-in-law, Ida Lynn Willis. She is survived by sons, Searcy Frank Willis Jr. and wife Deane Willis and Richard Willis; daughter, Betty Ann Lewis and husband Chuck Lewis; seven grandchildren, Karen Roberts, Elizabeth Carwile, Kim Lewis, Kelly Hiller, Andy Anderson, Amy Ennis and Randy Atkinson; and 10 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Willis, a Rice graduate and a teacher for many years in Conroe I.S.D., was an Elder in the First Presbyterian Church of Conroe, a member of the Retired Teachers of Conroe and the Pan-American Club, and was named the Matriarch of the Conroe Catfish Festival. Isabel was an expert bridge player, an avid traveler and lived to dance at all her grandchildren's weddings.

Visitation will be held at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas on Friday, June 1, 2007 from 5 to 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Scott Cummings officiating. Interment is scheduled for 10 a.m. in Garden Park Cemetery prior to the service.
