John Petruska, age 96, of Uniontown, PA, died on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at the Uniontown Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on November 4, 1914 in Lamberton, PA, son of Michael and Anna (Varhol) Petruska.
John was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife Anna E. (Plichta) Petruska; daughters, Emily Ann Petruska and Judith Ann Petruska, a granddaughter, Lori Ann Wiles, a son-in-law, Wilbert Benson, and brothers and sisters, Michael Petruska, George Petruska, Mary Petruska, Anna Petruska and Joseph Petruska.
John was a member of Saint John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church. He retired from Fike's Dairy after many years.
Left to cherish his memory are five children, Joan Stefancin and husband Bob, and Maxine Wiles and husband Harold all of Uniontown, PA; Patricia Benson of Shinnston, WV, Anna Marie Grove of Hopwood, PA, and John M. Petruska of Uniontown, PA; eleven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren; four brothers and sisters, Steve Petruska of Uniontown, PA, sister Celestine Petruska of Florida, William Petruska and Dorothy Medvitz both of Uniontown, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.
