Mr. Theron David Dorsett died Thursday, September 25, 2003 in Gilmer, Texas at the age of 86. He was born on October 7, 1916 to the late Jeff Dorsett and Ella Hallonquist Dorsett. Mr. Dorsett was a truck driver and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He married the former Myrtle Ruth Turner on June 5, 1940 and she preceded him in death on October 12, 1999. Mr. Dorsett was also preceded by his son, William David Dorsett and by brothers, Fred Dorsett, Cecil Dorsett and Preston Dorsett. Survivors include son, Larry Jack Dorsett of Winnsboro; daughter, Sherri Lynn Williams of Atlanta, GA; sister Lena Alexander of Argyle, GA; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Funeral services at Maple Springs Cemetery September 28, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Marion Coon officiating, followed by interment. Pallbearers were Henry Stout, Larry Stout, Lawrence E. Ray, Jr., J.D. Bass, Sam Lindsey, Tommy Wallis.
