Mrs. Corda Lucille Babb, 80, of 260 N. Dennis Ave. died at 9:25 a.m. Friday in Decatur and Macon County Hospital, where she had been a patient since Jan. 23.
A former teacher in the schools of Edgar County, Mrs. Babb was a member of the First Methodist Church, the Royal Neighbors of America, and was past worthy matron of the Arcola Order of Eastern Star.
She was born in Edgar County on Nov. 30, 1887, the daughter of David and Martha Hendricks Davis.
On May 26, 1914, she was married to Lorie C. Babb, who died last March 23.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Dwight (Maxine) Ridgley, Decatur; a sister, Mrs. Walter (Gertrude) Gaston, San Bernardino, Calif.; and one grandson.
Private funeral services will be held at 3 -p.m. Monday at Brintlinger's Funeral Home, with burial in Graceland Cemetery. There will be no visitation and the family requests no flowers.
