Edmond Poor was born on 17 Jan 1836 in Madison, Indiana, United States as the third child of George Poor and Nancy Adams. He had eleven siblings, namely: Margarett J., Mary Elizabeth, Sarah N., William, George W., Catharine, Abraham Samuel, Henry, Loranzo, Martha, and John H.. He died on 24 Mar 1884 in Greenfield, Dade, Missouri, United States (Age: 50). When he was 22, He married SARAH COTNER,daughter of Abraham Eli Cotner and Nacky Mullennix, on 13 Jan 1859 in Cass, Indiana, USA. He was in business for his self as a boot maker. During the civil war he served in the Union army in Co F 124th Indiana Infantry from 1/26/1864 to 8/31/1865. The 124th was Organized at Richmond. Terre Haute and Indianapolis, Ind., November, 1863, to March, 1864. Mustered in March 10, 1864. Left State for Louisville, Ky., March 19; thence moved to Nashville, Tenn. Attached to 1st Brigade, 1st Division, 23rd Army Corps, Army of the Ohio, to June, 1864. 4th Brigade, 3rd Division, 23rd Army Corps, to August, 1864. 2nd Brigade, 3rd Division, 23rd Army Corps, to December, 1864. 1st Brigade, 1st Division, 23rd Army Corps, Army of the Ohio, to February, 1865, and Dept. of North Carolina to August, 1865.
