Brimmer, Clare ‘Bus' 89, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2008. He was born in Hart Jan. 17, 1919 to Ed and Martha (Graham) Brimmer. He married the former Pauline Verschuren June 3, 1937 in Elbridge Township. Bus and his family had lived in Elbridge Township for 43 years, where they farmed raising cherries, asparagus, dairy and beef cattle. For 30 years, he also worked at Stokley's. Bus and Pauline moved to their present home in Weare Township 20 years ago. Bus loved to hunt and fish and became known as the best fisherman on the Pentwater pier. He is remembered for being a loving, caring and demanding father, who taught his children how to work and respect others. Bus is survived by wife of 70 years, Pauline, and their children, Chuck (Linda) Brimmer of Hart and Pat (Bob) Flannery of Walkerville; seven grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 17 great great grandchildren; sister, Carol Dombloski of Washington State. Bus was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters. Interment in Elbridge Township Cemetery.
