Pierre owned 1,279 acres, the entire east side of Bayou La Batre, present day Coden, Mobile co., AL and 623 acres on Mobile Bay, present day Bellefontaine, Mobile co., AL. Six of his children were christened at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
In the late 1990's, a theory was conceived that Pierre was the son of Jean Baptiste Baudreau II(dit Graveline)and Marie Henriette Huet. Two male descendants of the Baudreau dit Graveline family's y-DNA samples were submitted along with the y-DNA sample of a direct male descendant of Pierre Baptiste, and results show NO RELATIONSHIP at all. The two Baudreau-Graveline samples were an exact match. Research continues to find Pierre's origins...
