Maurine married Neal while he was in the Army stationed at Camp Carson, CO. they were married at Colorado Springs, Colorado. After he was discharged from the Army they moved to Los Angeles, CA and then to Rancho Bernardo, CA. They had no children. Maurine loved to garden and supplied boquets for the church she attended in Rancho Bernardo. Maurine missed the changing seasons in Illinois and she always made sure her trips back here were during the summer when the blackberries were in season. She always came to visit her sister Edna on the farm for some delicious blackberry pie and homemade ice cream.
