City Resident For 45 Years Dies At Family Home; Rites In St. Mary's
Carl P. Freund, 73 of 204 North Macy street, a salesman for the T. E. Ahern Clothing company for many years, died of a heart attack early today at his home.
A son of John and Elizabeth Freund, the veteran salesman was born Sept. 9, 1878, in the Town of Tenheedsh, and had been a resident of Fond du Lac the last 45 years. A member of St. Mary's church, Mr. Freund belonged to the Holy Name society and to St. Joseph's society of that parish.
Surviving are the widow, the former Gertrude Casper, to whom he was married Sept. 15, 1908 in John's church at Johnsburg; two foster daughters, Jeanette Mueller, at home, and Mrs. Walter Thuerwachter, city, former nieces; a foster granddaughter, Mary Jude Thuerwachter; and six brothers and sisters, Mrs. Emma Washbush, city, , Mrs. Katherine Casper, Empire, Mrs. Hubert Halfman, Hubert Freund, Jacob Freund and Theodore Freund, city.
Funeral services will be held Thursday-at 8:30 a. m. at the Zacherl funeral home and at 9 a. m. at St. Mary's church. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. cemetery.
