Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Davis Cox, wife of Earl L. Cox of Wando, died Tuesday in a local hospital. The funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by McAlister's.
Mrs. Cox was born in Berkeley County, a daughter of the late George L. Davis and the late Mary Mitchum Davis. She attended the schools of Berkeley County and was a Baptist.
Surviving in addition to her husband are: a son, Benjamin D. Villeponteaux of Wando; three daughters, Mrs. Roy E. Hensarling of Mount Pleasant, Mrs. Myrtle Thomas of Cordesville and Mrs. Ruby A. Rogers of Wando; 20 grandchildren and 9
great-grandchildren.
