George Champion DAVIS of Shamrock, Texas born 2-1-1913 in Erick Ok. died 7-02-95. He was preceded in death by parents Edward T. DAVIS Sr. and Orpha Olive Deahl DAVIS.
He married Cecyl F. JONES-DAVIS 2-01-48 in Stillwater, Okla. He is survived by 4 children; a brother Edward T. DAVIS, Erick OK; twelve grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by sisters Valentine COLTHARP, Florence BRYANT, Edna Carl WARNER. He had a degree in agriculture, was a US Navy Vet WW II South Pacific. He was a retired farmer, rancher of Wheeler Co. Texas and Beckham Co. Ok. Lifetime member of American Hereford Assoc. Services 2 pm Wed. July 5, 1995 Burial Davis Cemetery, 2 miles North of Erick, Memorials may be to favorite Charity or Shamrock Texas Methodist Church.
