Dorothy is survived by her sister, Claudette Okrasinski of Colonial Beach, Virginia, her daughter, Ann Dame of Camino, California, and sons, Robert Ray Ogle, Jr. of Concord, California, David William Ogle of Los Gatos, California, and Walter Michael Ogle of Chickasha, four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Dorothy grew up in Oklahoma City and Grady County, Oklahoma. She married Robert Ogle in Lawton, Oklahoma on February 3, 1936. They resided in Naples, Ok, Tabler, OK, then Chickasha where Ann and Robert Jr. were born. Shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor, they moved to Richmond, California where she and Robert worked at Kaiser Shipyard No.3 building victory ships during the rest of World War II. Walter and David were born in Richmond.
She and Robert moved back to Chickasha in 1972. She worked at the Dixie Store for 12 years as a seamstress before opening her own business at home doing alterations and apparel design. She retired in 1995.
Dorothy attended Middleberg School, received her high school diploma in Richmond, CA, and obtained an associate degree in apparel design from Contra Costa College in San Pablo, CA in 1962. She was a charter member of Richmond's Gold Thimble Club and Chickasha's Business Women's Association.
Arrangements for cremation are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Published by McRay Funeral Home.
