W/O Dean Hall
Midwest City OK -
Janet Lee (Carmichael) Hall, 67, passed away April 23, 2009, in Midwest City, OK.
Janet was born on November 20, 1941, in Ravenswood, where she spent her youth. Janet attended Marshall University in Huntington and received a Masters in Library Science and English. After receiving her degree, she worked for several years as a school librarian.
After moving to Oklahoma, Janet changed her career direction and worked in banking, first at Tinker Credit Union, then at Wilson's Credit Union and finally at Weokie Credit Union until her retirement. Janet enjoyed gardening, her pet cats, knitting, and automobile racing. She enjoyed attending races, watching races on TV and even helped on a sprint car racing team for several years.
She loved to feed the wild birds and animals, and any stray cat that came by was fed and treated like a king. Although Janet enjoyed doing many things, her passion was gardening. Every year she planted a large vegetable garden and raised thousands of beautiful flowers in her many flower beds. Now, Janet will be tending the gardens of heaven.
Janet was preceded in death by her mother, Loretta (Mitchell) Carmichael, and her father, David Carmichael.
Janet is survived by her husband of 31 years, Dean Hall, son Kurt Hendricks and his wife Serena Hendricks; grandson Phoenix Hendricks; brothers James Carmichael of Ravenswood Stephen Carmichael and his wife Rhonda of Owensboro, KY; three nieces and three nephews.
Her memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 28, at the Sunny Lane Chapel in Oklahoma City.
