In 1943, she moved to California and had lived in Sonora for many years, and there married Orville Blount on April 24, 1992. She moved to Grants Pass six months ago.
She had been a member of Peaceful Valley Church and a Baptist church in Sonora. She enjoyed watercolor painting for family and friends, sewing and gardening.
In addition to her husband, Orville Blount, of Sonora; Mrs. Blount is survived by a daughter, Virginia Ward, of Rogue River, Ore.; two sons, Al Allinson of Honokaa, Hawaii, and Dale Allinson of Santa Clara; a brother, J.W. Way of Riverside; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren,
and two stepsons, Jake Blount of Sonora and Larry Blount of Fairfield, and one stepdaughter, Patricia "Pat" Ah Toong of Westminster, Colo. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Maldon.
