Bertie Evelyn was the daughter of John C. and Delia Goins. She was married to George Cole. She was laid to rest beside her husband in the Zephyr Cemetery at 10 a.m. Friday June 7, 2002. Rev R.J. Elkins officiating. The following poem was read:

"Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow;
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain;
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there; I did not die."

She loved her husband and family and will be missed. A special thanks to her two nieces who took care of her in her later years Mrs Billie (Egger)Smith and Mrs Lorene (Egger) Minica.

In one of the pictures is her and her husband George Cole. The picture of her with the little white dog is her little Smiley that came to her home, because he had no where to go. She kept him for many years and is buried with his picture.
