Funeral services for Mrs. W.J. Peel, 76, mother of Mrs. Hayden Bateman of Athens, who died Monday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock at the family home near Martins Mill, were held Tuesday afternoon with interment following in the Holly Springs cemetery. The services were held at 3 o'clock.
Mrs. Peel was a long time resident of the Martins Mill community. She is survived by her husband and eleven children. Mr. and Mrs. Hayden Bateman, Mrs. Tom Massey, Mrs. C.C Bateman and Mrs. S.H. Easley were among those from Athens who attended the funeral services.
