He was the proprietor with his son Timmy of Bryant’s Groceries in the Martling community just outside Albertville Alabama. Wayne was the kind of guy that would give you the shirt off his back. The store was like a hub in the community where people could come sit, talk and tell fishing stories. Wayne was well-liked in the community and a good friend to it. There will be no other like him. Cause of death a heart attack.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 15, 2003 at the Mount High Baptist Church.
Officiating Ministers: Brother Bobby Darnell and Brother Chris Hilburn.
Internment… In Adjoining Cemetery.
Pallbearers… Gary Cordell, Lee Bryant, Luke Brown, Ricky Hendrix, Albert Childers, Terry Owens, Wayne McCoy and Charles “Spooky” Dutton.
