Arvel Christopher Kiger, 70 years, of Second avenue, died Friday, December 23, 1960, in Greene County Memorial Hospital. He had been ill a short time. Mr. Kiger was a son of Isaac Newton Kiger and Elizabeth John Kiger, and was born August 20, 1890, in Perry Township. He was a stock raiser until ten years ago when he moved to Waynesburg. Mr. Kiger had held a school bus contract twenty years and was custodian of the First Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Goldie Renner Kiger; one daughter, Ruth, wife of Harry Headlee of Silver Spring, Md.; two sons, Willis of Morgantown, and Arvel Jr., of Waynesburg R. D. 3; one foster son, Arnold Wade of Delmont; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Lawrence Lemley of Morgantown. Two brothers are deceased.
