Ellen D. Kern, 56, Beech Grove, died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2003. She was born Dec. 23, 1946 in Whiteland, IN. Her father was Calvin G. Law. Her mother is Sarah Ellen (Honeay) Law of Beech Grove, IN. She married Paul W. Kern, Jr. on March 13, 1965 in Indianapolis, he survives. Survivors include two daughters, Paula S. Farber of Whiteland, IN, and Lori A. Kern of Indianapolis; three brothers, Michael Law of Port St. Lucie, FL, Russell Law and Jimmy Law, both of Indianapolis; five sisters, Mary Martin, Patti Roska, Jan Kirby, and Peggy Warren, all of Indianapolis, and Martha Alford of Beech Grove; five grandchildren, Jessika Anne Young, Joshua Paul Young, Janelle Lynn Farber, Justin Anthony Farber, and Jennifer Lynn Kern. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father. She was employed for 31 years by Brylane in Indianapolis as a supervisor, retiring in 1996. A service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 4 at Forest Lawn Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home, State Road 125 Chapel in White River Township. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in White River Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 9135 N. Meridian St., Suite B-4, Indpls., IN 46209-7109
