She is survived by her husband, Fred, one son, Fred, Jr., three daughters, Lotus, Marjorie and Shirley, all of Bramwell.
Born May 13, 1904 in Tazewell County she was a daughter of William Melvin and Dora Crigger Bales.
Her mother and two brothers, Paul Bales of Bramwell and Adam Bales of Caretta, also survive her.
Funeral services will be held at the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Bramwell today at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Mr. Steele, pastor of the church will conduct the services.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Price, James Henshey, Cecil Mullens, Perry Mullens, Howard Rigney and Millard Rigney.
Burial will be in the Bramwell Belcher Cemetery.
