Mrs. Narrie Gearhart, 71, a life-long resident of West Decatur, died this morning at 4:50 o'clock in the Philipsburg State Hospital where she had been a patient for the past two days.
Mrs. Gearhart had been ill health the past nine years.
Born Feb. 8, 1886 in Boggs Township, a daughter of George and Cora (Kephart) Mease, she married Orie Gearhart in 1904.He preceded her in death in 1941.
Surviving are three children: Willis, West Decatur; Mrs. (Iona) Clark Turner, Philipsburg; and Bernard, Houtzdale; two sisters: Mrs. Edna Ashcroft and Mrs. Mae Kephart, both of Bradenton, Fla.: four grandchildren and three great grand children.
Mrs. Gearhart was a member of the Boggs Township Grange and the West Decatur EUB Church.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2pm from the home of her son Willis, and at 2:30 pm , from the EUB church at West Decatur. Rev. Thomas O. Fuss will officiate at the services. Interment will follow in the Bigler Cemetery.
Friends may call at the home of her son from 7pm today until time of services.
