Funeral of Mr. Robt. C. Aby.

Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at his late residence in Grammont street funeral services were held over the remains of Mr. R. C. Aby, whose sudden passing away, Saturday afternoon at 5 o'clock at his post of duty at Allen's Pharmacy, was a shock to the community, where the greater part of his life had been spent.

Mr. Aby was in his sixty-fifth year early in life uniting with the Presbyterian church, was a man of cheerful and genial disposition, his nature being free of any animosity to which humanity is prone.

Mr. Aby was a recognized pharmacist of ability, for the past thirteen years being in the employ of Allen's Pharmacy. Always at his post, willing and ready.

Mr. Aby in early manhood was married to Miss Aggie DeLeary, who is left to mourn his loss, a comfort being the foster daughter, Mrs. Hayden Nichols. Dr. C. S. Newman of the Presbyterian church conducted the services, reading the 91st Psalm, the choir softly singing "Abide With Me" and "Nearer My God to Thee." As the services at the home closed, the pall bearers reverently bore out the casket, the funeral cortege taking the line of march to the City Cemetery where interment was made. The floral offerings were numerous and beautiful, covering the new made mound with the floral stars of earth.

Pall bearers - Messrs. F. P. Stubbs, S. L. Allen, E. A. Faulk, G. W. Cope and J. J. Herring, F. Kennedy.
