WILLIAM H. YOUNG
The death of William Howard Young, which occurred at his residence on Saturday Oct 23, 1920 at the age of 42 years.
The deceased had contracted typhoid fever and after an illness lasting some three weeks passed away Saturday. A service was held Sunder Oct 24, at the United Church when a large number of the deceased's friends gathered to pay a last tribute to his memory. A number of plants decorated the church, bearing testimony to the esteem in which he was held. Rev. J. R. Geeson officiated.
Mr. Young was the youngest son of the late Rev. and Mrs. Stephen Young of Clifford, Ont. where he was born. He graduated from Toronto University and first came west about 15 years ago while on a vacation afterwards locating at Prince Albert and later at Saskatoon. He came to Youngstown with his family about eighteen months ago and has spent much of his time in the country through this part of the province. where he has been in charge of provincial government survey parties. Of a kind and genial disposition he made a wide circle of friends, among whom his death has cast a deep gloom.
He is mourned by his wife and four year old son, William L. (Bobbie), two sisters, Miss Kate Young of Clifford, Onto. Mrs. W.M. Holliston of Saskatoon and one brother; J.B. Young of Saskatoon.
The remains were taken to Saskatoon on Sunday Oct 24, by train for interment.
