Esther Lillie Stafford, 95, died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011, at Golden Living Center Parkplace in Grand Island.

Esther was born on Sept. 27, 1915, in Greeley to Cameron and Lillie (Rasmussen) Moore.

Esther was preceded in death by: husbands, Richard Pratt and Lyle Stafford; son, Tom Pratt; daughter, Juanita Meyer parents and five brothers and four sisters.

Esther was united in marriage to Richard Pratt on July 12, 1933.

The couple made their home in Greeley where they raised their son, Tom and daughter, Juanita. They later moved to Grand Island.

Esther married Lyle Stafford on Dec. 23, 1965. They made their home in Grand Island where she worked for many years at the Lutheran Hospital.

She will be remembered for her help in raising many children and the many beautiful quilts she created. She was always full of energy and loved her many flowers and plants. She welcomed all company and was ready to make sure you had plenty to eat.

Esther is survived by: grandsons, David Meyer, James Pratt and Robert Pratt, eight great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
