Naaman Abraham Rothrock was the youngest of three known children (possibly four) of Thomas Rothrock (1821-1851) and Salome Lucinda (went by Lucinda or Lucy) Holder Rothrock (1823-1886), who married 27 Sep 1845 at Stokes (became Forsyth) County, North Carolina. Naaman's father Thomas died before Naaman was born. In 1857 Lucy remarried to John Brown (c1798-1884) and had additional children. Naaman was raised in the John Brown household.
Naaman married Rebecca Amanda Frye (1850-1926) on 24 Apr 1873 at Forsyth County, North Carolina. Naaman and Rebecca were the parents of three known children, namely:
1. Parmenio Sylvester Rothrock (1874-1957)
2. Nevada May Rothrock Dotson (1876-1951)
3. Daisy E. Rothrock Grubbs (1878-1966)
Naaman died only four and one-half years after he and Rebecca were married. Rebecca never remarried.
