Funeral services for Fred Henson, 78, and his wife, Minnie Bell Henson, 77, whose deaths occurred within a two day period, will be conducted at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at their home at Beaver by ministers of the Regular Baptist Church.
Mrs. Henson died Saturday at Methodist Hospital in Pikeville following a short illness, and her husband's death followed Monday at home.
Mrs. Henson was born November 30, 1902 at Ligon, a daughter of the late Will and Bessie Osborne Slone. Her husband, a retired miner, was born April 18, 1901 at Beaver, a son of the late Tim and Catherine Hamilton Henson. He was employed by the Clear Branch Mining Company at Ligon and the Old Block Mine at Lambert. He was a member of the UMWA, District 30.
They are survived by two sons, Clifford Henson, of Lorain, O., and Glenn Henson, of Dayton, O.; 10 daughters, Edith Henson, of Beaver, Mrs.Codie Newsome, of Betsy Layne, Mrs. Madeline Moore; of Dayton, O.,Mrs. Jeanette Bishop, of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Bonnie Sue Bell, of East McDowell, Mrs. Loretta Riley, of El Paso, Texas, Mrs. Pauline Stanley, Mrs. Geneva Horn, Mrs. Alma Jean Paige, and Mrs. Anna Sue Totten, allof Columbus, O.; 36 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Henson is survived also by two brothers, Malcolm Slone, of Ligon, and Tramble Slone, of Columbus, O.; and a sister, Mrs. NannieHumphrey, of Ligon.
Surviving Mr. Henson are three sisters, Mrs. Frances Reynolds, of Allen, Mrs. Tamary Hall, in Michigan, and Mrs. Marie Elliot, of Lexington, one brother, Milford Henson, in Michigan.
Burial will be made in the Vance cemetery at Beaver under direction of Hall Funeral Home.
