JONESVILLE, VA Nelle Wade Litton, age 91, of Jonesville, passed away Wednesday (Dec. 24, 2008) at her residence.

She retired from Powell Valley Electric Co-op in Jonesville after 38 years of service. She was a member of the Jonesville First United Methodist Church for 51 years and a member of the United Methodist Women.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert ?Ern? Litton; parents, Jack and Mabel Wade; brother, Eugene Wade and sister, Mary Ward.
She is survived by, two daughters,
Carolyn Litton Parsons, and Susie Vandergriff and husband, Homer Va n d e r g r i f f , both of Jonesville, Va.; four grandchildren,
Christy Garland and husband Eric, Sean Vandergriff and wife, Carabeth, Kelly Handley and husband, Andrew, and Karin Moore and husband Sean; six great-grandchildren, Emily Vandergriff, Reece Garland, Ella Handley, Griffin Moore, Addison Vandergriff, and George Handley; one niece and three nephews.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Jonesville First United Methodist Church.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Jonesville First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Layne Pennington officiating.
Burial will follow at Lee Memorial Gardens in Hickory Flats area of Woodway, Va.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Jonesville First United Methodist Church.
