UG Crisp married a young Isra Ella Van Valkenburg at Vancouver in 1887. Father of 14 children - moved west to Washington Territory in the early 1880's - after marriage - he purchased property in Yakima County in 1891 - then purchased 168 acres and settled on the Waterville plateau where he hauled frieght from the Columbia River up to the town. Later he moved to Whitman County in Garfield, where he was a realtor - later living north in Spokane county.
