She taught for many years in the Conway schools before she joined the staff at Mahar in 1953. She retired in 1970.
Born in North Adams, she was a graduate of the former North Adams Normal School.
She lived here most of her life, and was a member of United Church of Christ and its Ladies Aid Society. She was also a member of the Retired Teachers Association and the Conway Senior Citizens.
Her husband, Howard Parsons, died in 1946.
She leaves a daughter, Muriel Poulin of Easthampton; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and two nieces.
