Graveside funeral services for John Walter Allan, late of Tidewater, Oregon, were held on Friday, April 14 at
10 a.m. at the Eureka Cemetery. Rev. Paul Evans of the First Presbyterian Church officiated with Bateman Newport Chapel in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Allan was born in Gibbonsville, Idaho on February 20, 1896 and died at the Emerald Convalescent Hospital in Eugene on April 10. He had been a Tidewater resident for about 5 years and was a veteran of World War I.

Surviving are two sons, David Allan of Fair Oaks, California and Larry B. Allan of Fremont, California, and two sisters not of this area.
