She died at home in Jasper, Lane, Oregon. She lived to be 86 years, 07 months and 15 days old.

Her father was Cornelius Joel Hills born in Syracuse, Onodaga, New York on 16 Jan 1818. Her mother was, Sephronia P. Briggs of Athens, Athens, Ohio. She was born on 28 Aug 1828. He traveled back across the plains to Ft. Madison, Lee, Iowa to marry and bring back his new bride and her family with him. She died on 19 Jul 1908 in Jasper, Lane, Oregon and buried at Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

Henrietta's parents had filed an Oregon Donation Land Claim covering Jasper. It was filed at Roseburg, Oregon, Vol. 3. Claim #1701, in Oct 1847. This was before he was actually married. He needed his wife to in order to receive the whole 640 acres. By law a single man was only alloted 320 acres and the wife the other 320 acres[This was a very unique feature of the Congressional Act].

Henrietta was born in Jasper, Lane, Oregon on the Middle fork of the Willamette River on, 14 Feb 1854. She married at the age of 161/2, on, 18 Sep 1870 to David Jacoby in Lane County, Oregon. She was buried in Mount Vernon Cemetery on, 01 Oct 1940 [her parents and husband are buried there also]. Henrietta gave birth to Dora Dell(B-31 Dec 1872), Lester David(B-20 Aug 1874)., Margaret(Maggie) Sephronia [Jacoby] Logsdon(B-21 Jan 1881), John Elias(B-25 Jan 1884), Gainey Erastus(B-01 Jun 1886) and Ethel Rosina(B-30 Jun 1898). all born in Jasper, Lane County, Oregon. They were a quite farming family. This was her husbands second marriage as reported in 1880 or 1900 U.S. Federal Census. Such was the size of the farm that the sons stayed on for many years to work the land.
