She was a native of Haywood County, NC but had lived most of her life in Cherokee County, NC. Ronnie was the daughter of the late Forrest and Carrie Haney Blaylock. She had numerous talents: quilting, woodcarving, painting, playing the guitar but her biggest love was her family. Ronnie was a member of Valley River Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Lunsford; several brothers and sisters; infant daughter, Theresa Annette Lunsford; daughter, Josephine Laura Lunsford; son, Robert Kyle Lunsford and son-in-laws, Andrew Carter and Kenneth Owenby.
She is survived by one son, Buddy Lunsford and his wife, Anna of Andrews, NC; seven daughters, Lucille Carter of Marietta, GA, Janice Barker and her husband, Kenneth of Copperhill, TN, Shirley Grindstaff and her husband, Reid of Daytona, FL, Atha Joyce Owenby of Murphy, NC, Kaye Yonce and her husband, Bill of Murphy, NC, Karen Sherrill and her husband, Terry of Andrews, NC and Debra English and her husband, Mike of Murphy, NC; one brother, James Blaylock and his wife, Carolyn of Andrews, NC; 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Valley River Baptist Church in Andrews, NC. Rev. Roy Phillips and Rev. Lewis Welch will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kirk Barker, Chad Sherrill, Eric Yonce, Kurt English, Clayton Cornwell and Chris Sherrill. Honorary pallbearer will be Alex Parker.
