obit~~Wantage Recorder~~ Miss Eliza Jane Quackenbush, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Quackenbush, of Lafayette died on Tuesday at the home of her sister, Mrs. Jonas Simmons, after a long illness from consumption. She was born June 5th, 1855, and in her youth attended the public schools of Houses Corner and Lafayette. She was a member of the Newton M. E. church. Deceased is survived by two sisters; Hattie May Quackenbush, and Mrs. Jonas Simmons, both of Lafayette township, and by five brothers, Moses, John, and Frank, of Newton, Wesley, of Lafayette, and Walter of Sparta township.
