SOUTHBURY — Americo J. "Rick" Lupinacci, 85, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, at Danbury Hospital after a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Marie A. (Pardo) Lupinacci.

Mr. Lupinacci was born March 18, 1925, in Glen Cove, Long Island, N.Y., son of the late Ralph and Concetta (Orrico) Lupinacci. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a graduate of Fordham University in New York. He was the owner of the former Lupinacci Liquors in Stamford and a 4th degree Knight of Columbus.

Besides his wife of 63 years, he leaves a son, Richard Lupinacci and his wife, Linda, of Ridgefield; two daughters, Ronnie McQueeney and her husband, William, of Woodbury, and Lisa Pratt and her husband, Stephen, of Roxbury; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, with a fourth arriving soon; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his three sisters, Angelina Moscarella, Emily Lupinacci and Josephine Giancola.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, at St. Patrick's Church, 25 Church St., Roxbury. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Roxbury, in the spring. Arrangements by Carpino Funeral Home, 750 Main Street South, Southbury.
