Roy Adams Jr., 65, of San Antonio, passed away on December 27, 2010 in San Antonio, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in San Antonio, TX., to Minnie Hohenberger and Roy Hascall Adams Sr., on June 24, 1945.
Roy graduated from Bandera High School in 1963. He went on to become owner, operator of Roy's Bar-B-Q & Fried Chicken, convenience store. He was the son of former Bandera County Judge, Roy H. Adams Sr., who served in the late 60's.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Minnie Hohenberger; father, Roy Hascall Adams Sr.; daughter, Patricia Ann Adams in 1966.
He is survived by daughters, Janeese Schoelzel and husband Curtis, Jeanette Crozier and husband Allen; grandchildren, Robert Benfer Jr., Justine Benfer, Jacklyn Schoelzel, Jillian Schoelzel, Ryan Crozier, Cade Crozier and Adam Crozier; cousin H. M. Adams Jr. And numerous other cousins and relatives.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 30, 2010, 1-3 PM with services immediately following at 3 PM at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Bandera, officiated by Mr. Martin Smith. Interment will follow in the Bandera Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera.
