A. RAY "Buffy" BUFFINGTON, born August 13, 1942 passed on October 29, 2001. Ray was a premier football player at Lamar University, he was also a teacher and coach at Port Arthur I.S.D. for several years. He was an operator at Shell Chemical where he retired. He is survived by his daughters Tambrea Cannon and husband Michael of Seabrook, Tanya Buffington of La Porte, Kathryn Cooke of Sugarland, mother Ruth Buffington, brothers Gordon Buffington of Fannett, TX. and Douglas Buffington of Silsbee, TX. six grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 1st at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Forest Park Lawndale Chapel of Angels with interment to follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
