Richard Eugene Lantis Sr.

Richard Eugene Lantis Sr., 72, died Saturday, March 20, 1999, at St. Francis Hospital South Campus in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Greenwood.

He was born May 15, 1926, in South Bend. His parents were William Lantis and Dossie Shoemaker. He married Delores Lantis. She preceded him in death. Survivors include a son, Richard Lantis Jr. of Indianapolis; a sister, Wilma Kurz of Indianapolis; a mother-in-law, Lavern Brato of Greenwood; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Armond Lantis; two brothers, Willard Lantis and James Robert Lantis; and a sister, Naomi Ruth Lantis.

He retired from Bryant Carrier after many years of service.

He was an Army veteran.

The Rev. Russell Bruney will conduct a service at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Wilson St. Pierre State Road 135 Chapel. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in White River Township.
