Larry Lee Carter, 58, Topeka, died May 28, 2006, at his home.
He was born Dec 25, 1947, in Blanchard, Okla., the son of Walter Franklin and Flora Golden Carter. He joined the army in 1967 and served in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in 1973.
He retired from the City of Yukon in Oklahoma.
He served as commander of the VFW Post 10363 in Yukon, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Thomas; and sister, Shirley Ann King.
Survivors include one son, Larry Carter Jr, Topeka; two daughters:Elwanda Klucik, Marietta, Ga; and Mary Barstow, Pond Creek, Pkla; four brothers: Harold and Bobby, Lawton, Okla; William Elmer, Pkla; and Walter, Valley Mills, Texas; and a sister, Maxine Sulrs, Elmer, Okla.
Services will be at 10:30 am Thur, June 1, at the Lyndon, Cemetery. Interment will be in Lyndon Cemetery.
