Virginia City Native, 91, Dies in Sheridan
SHERIDAN - Virginia City native Margaret B. Allison, 91 died Friday in Sheridan nursing home.
She was born September 28, 1887, and grew up in Wyoming, living on the Big Horn River near Kane.
She married Emery Allison April 15, 1905 at Big Timber. They homesteaded at Crystal Creek, Wyoming until 1914, then operated a contracting firm in Greybull, Wyoming.
Mrs. Allison's husband died in 1967, and she came to Sheridan nine years ago. She also was proceeded in death by a son, Salatiel Allison, in 1946.
Survivors include a daughter, Edith Rule of Sheridan; son, Clinton Allison of Cherry Valley, California; brothers, W.Z. David of Sheridan and Milton David of Daniel, Wyoming; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
The body will be forwarded by K&L Mortuary of Sheridan to the Atwood Family Mortuary at Greybull for services tentatively set for Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the Madison County Nursing Home in Sheridan.
