She was born in Lincoln, Michigan, on February 2, 1929 to Percy C. and Jessie O. (Akron) Somers, and they preceded her in death.
Donna had been employed at the Cadillac Girl Coat Co. in Cadillac. She later moved to Nebraska and worked for the Bell Telephone Co. there for 10 years. She then moved back to Cadillac to begin raising a family. She enjoyed gardening, yard work, spending time outdoors, and eating out. She was an exceptional wife and mother, plus a good mentor.
On June 7, 1947 in Cadillac she married Kenneth V. Pederson, and he survives her along with their son, Paul (Jennifer) Pedersen of Cadillac.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth V. Pedersen in March of 1978 and two brothers, Richard and Percy Somers; and a sister, Justine Price.
Visitation: Tuesday January 25, 2011 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac.
Funeral Services: Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Peterson Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Tomlinson officiating.
