Carrie (Townley) Persons was born in Browns Valley, Minnesota March 17 1 884; she passed away very suddenly in her sleep March 5, 1956 at the age of 71 years, 11 months and 16 days at the home of Joe Stokes where she had made her home since the death of her husband.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fitch Townley, pioneer residents of Woodside. She came from Browns Valley at the age of eight years old.
She was united in marriage to Myron Persons August 1, 1906; to this union were born four sons and four daughters, all of who survive. They are - Dorman of Hibbing; Oscar of Hewitt; Aaron (John) of Deer Creek and Eugene of Bigfork. The daughters are - Mrs. Chester Hennagir (Ruthie) of Parkers Prairie; Mrs. Thomas Hennagir (Ivis) of Bigfork; Mrs. Austin Krenz ( Lillian) of Bertha and Mrs. Robert Wendorf (Bonita) of Madelia. Thirty four grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Three brothers also survive. They are - Art Townley of California, Claude of Kill Devil Hiss, North Carolina and Earl of St. Peter; besides a host of other relatives and friends.
